Getting To Know Us
OLMC Parents’ Guild Board Members 2016-2017
Welcome to OLMC School. I would like to take a moment to introduce the OLMC Parents’ Guild board members. I know after you’ve read a little about us you will see we all the same goal. To ensure that all the children and their families have an exciting & memorable year.
President: My name is Ellita Cort. I work as a Rehab-nurse, on the night shift, in the Bronx. I have a son, Daniel who is in 3rd Grade. I also have twin nephews who are in 5th grade. My nephews have been in the school since Pre-K & my son started in Kindergarten. This is my first year as part of the Parents’ Guild Board and I am so excited. I have had awesome support from previous Guild members that have made this transition easier. Now, I’m not going to say I am not nervous. Of course I am. I have big shoes to fill and I only wear a size 6. But with the help of Sr. Mary Stephen, my present Guild Board & all of you I know this will be an awesome year. Now read on. You will enjoy getting to know the Guild Board Members.
Vice President: My name is Maritza Torres. I work in the MRI department at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Valhalla. I have 2 children who started at OLMC since Kindergarten. My daughter is now in 1st Grade and my son is now in 3rd. I not only made friends here, but I also have extended my family. This is my first year as part of the Parents’ Guild. I’ve always admired the hard work the Guild does to ensure a memorable school year. I look forward to being the Vice President for the 2015-2016 school year, and I definitely look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you at the school’s many events. I pray that you all are able to enjoy everything that the school has to offer, and that you make long lasting memories. I hope you walk away knowing this was the best decision you ever made for your child(ren) and yourselves. May GOD continue to bless our OLMC families.
Treasurer: My name is Thomas Pandarakalam. I have 2 kids at OLMC, a daughter in 6th grade and a son in 3rd grade. This will be my second year being a Parents’ Guild Member. I look forward to taking on the role of Treasurer for the 2016-2017 school year. My family and I have been a part of the OLMC since I was my children’s age. Graduating from OLMC, I know that it offers a great educational and spiritual environment and you get a family connection with other OLMC families. This is why my children go to OLMC. I want them to have the same experience I had. I look forward for an exciting school year and I hope that it will be enjoyable for all kids and OLMC families. Thank you.
Corresponding Secretary: My name is Franca Euvino-Gallo. I am a claims processor for a union office in New Jersey. I currently have one child, Kathryn, attending OLMC and she is in the 1st grade. She has been a student here since Pre-K 4. As a mom with a child attending OLMC I find it a pleasure to be a member of the Parents’ Guild since her attendance. It is both informative and a great way to meet other families. I now look forward to being your Correspondence Secretary for the current school year 2016-2017. I hope if anyone has any concerns or questions that I can assist to the best of my ability. I hope to see many of you at the many school events and make this year memorable not only for your child but your entire family as well. Thank you.
Recording Secretary: My name is Rachael Garcia-Nargi. I am an elementary school principal within the NYC Department of Education. My two daughters Isabella (7) and Ava (5) started their third year at OLMC this September. It prides me to say that these 3 years have been the happiest for my family.
