Dear Parents,

The summer is passing quickly, and so my mind and heart are looking forward with great anticipation to the opening of school, which is Thursday, September 7 for grades Kindergarten through eight. PreK3 and PreK4 will begin full session on Wednesday, September 13.

Dismissal for grades K – 8 will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday, September 7, and Friday, September 8. Full school day dismissal is at 2:40 PM.

School begins at 8 AM. The students will report to the school yard each morning. Lateness is very disruption to morning routines, so we would appreciate it if everyone would make a serious effort to be on time. It is understandable that there are always unusual circumstances that don’t make this possible. If students are late a note will be expected.

It is with great pleasure that we welcome Mrs. Kim Palmiotto to our faculty. Mrs. Palmiotto will be teaching PreK3 and PreK4. She has been a faithful volunteer at OLMC for over twelve years, and comes to us with great love, affection and expertise for our younger children. I know you join me in welcoming her. I have assured her of your support.

Mrs. Palmiotto will be contacting the parents of the PreK3 and PreK4 children concerning the day the individual students will come for orientation. Full day sessions will begin on Wednesday, September 13.  Mrs. Palmiotto will be assisted by two aids.

Special Opening School Event

In place of our coming back to school barbeque we have been blessed by “Moving the Right Way” sponsoring an event for our families on Saturday, September 23^rd from 2 PM – 6:00 PM to Deluca Park. We hope our entire school family will be present.

There will be: Jumping Castle ~ Sand Painting ~ Tug of War Games

There is no cost to families unless you wish to purchase food. A food truck will be available. A form will be distributed on opening day and we will need it returned on Friday, so we can get an idea of how many will attend. We ask that you will be generous in offering to help where needed. We need a good number of volunteers.

We want the event to be a huge success and that we may come together as a family. We look forward to this happy school event and hope that all will participate.
